Shawarma made from tofu? Pastrami made from veggies?!
Yes — many of your favorite Jewish meals can be made without meat. And yes — they can taste damn good, while being better for the environment.
Whether you're a vegan or someone just looking to freshen up your everyday diet, chef Micah Siva — who specializes in plant-based Jewish cuisine — has something delicious in store for you.
In her latest class with The Nosher, Micah will help you create dishes sure to be your next obsessions — from High Holiday salads to a beet "pastrami" sandwich to a tasty tagine that'll have you forgetting that meat exists.
You'll get customized recipes and the recording of each class session to keep, so you can perfect your technique on your own time.
Plant-based recipes are healthier, cleaner and more sustainable — so let's get cooking!
