Biblical Hebrew Level 5
Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. ET
Feb. 5 - March 19
No class on Feb. 26
The Future is now! Conjugating Hebrew verbs in the Imperfect Tense (a.k.a. the future tense), that is.
We’ll start with the basics of the imperfect, using verbs like ש.מ.ר (“to guard”) and ז.כ.ר (“to remember.”) Then we’ll focus on verbs whose שורשים contain guttural and/or “weak” letters, the so-called “Drop-Letter Imperfects.”
We’ll also study verses from the weekly Torah portion, starting with the Ten Commandments at our first meeting. We will be working on Chapters 11 and 12 of "The First Hebrew Primer."
